Apparently, Kage likes being near me when I am home. While I was outside on the front porch, he was sitting on the arm of the couch, the flat surface nearest the window. Now he's sitting on the chair next to mine. Awwww.

The heat seems to have turned my cat into a small rug.

This morning I had an experience which shows what a laid back kitty Kage is and how much he wanted attention this morning.

Wednesday evenings we do not play with Kage (anime night). Kage usually shows his displeasure by being extra energetic while we try to sleep. This morning, he decided to take a different approach. As I was petting him, I pulled him into my lap to clip his claws. Not only did he not object (beyond pulling his paw out of my hands a couple times), he purred! The whole time I was clipping his nails, he purred.

I have such a good kitty!

Last night I went to bed late, after Kageneko and Jeff. They were so cute!

I thought about taking a picture, but decided Jeff might not appreciate it. =)
