Keeping them coming!
Finished Producing Open Source Software: How to Run a Successful Free Software Project by Karl Fogel. I would first like to comment on the name of the book. Notice how Fogel cleverly included both terms, "open source software" and "free software", in the title of the book.
This book gives exactly what it advertises. It is a detailed look at how to start and manage an open source projects covering issues from version control and email to hosting to people management to working with companies that want to support your project. As such, the book is very useful, but not the most exciting of reads. It is a book that is best read right before you start running an open source project. The chapters are fairly independent, making them easy to reread when you need help with a particular issue.
Now I want to go start a project!
